WHAT DOES A CHAPULIN?

True aficionados of Mexican spirits, we list and activate our partner’s brand in the best bars in London, Paris and soon other cities.

With a solid local network of bars and bartenders,
and years of experience in Mexican spirits, Our chapulines are a mix of Brand Ambassador and Sales Team.

We are every day in the street to realise the most important task for craft spirits brands: being in the right on trade accounts and transforming them into brand flagships.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF HAVING A CHAPULIN?

Our Chapulin will list your brand in your targeted accounts. It’s a long journey; that’s why we need a minimum of 9 months to develop a brand.

But it’s only the first part of our job, as we need to ensure brand rotation. Therefore, we also support by:

  • Ensuring your presence on the menu.
  • Implementing bartenders’ training, making sure they fall in love with your brand.
  • Creating brand content in these bars to interact with bartenders.
  • Organizing Guest shifts in the bars to engage with consumers.

 

We also collaborate every day with your distributor to ensure that the product is well delivered to the accounts.

WHO ARE LOS CHAPULIN?

Alex in Paris

Mexican by birth, living in France by choice, lover of distillates, passionate about his roots and determined to transmit the agave culture to whoever is willing to learn.  Always willing to share what he has learned through his travels and the incredible people with whom he has coincided in this journey of flavors.  CHEERS!

Jon in London​

An agave apostle by trade and nature, Jon worked in and run some of the Uk’s most influential agave bars – Café Pacifico, El Camion and the Wahaca Group. He has a great passion and in-depth knowledge of all things agave and has been ambassador for very well know Tequila and Mezcal brands. He helped pioneer the launch of mezcal in the Uk.

Christian in Barcelona

With more than 25 years in the fascinating world of gastronomy, Argentine, creative, restless, very demanding with his profession and a lover of distilled spirits. Expert in bar management, cocktails, brand ambassador and collaborator in several projects at a national and international level.

WHY THIS NAME LOS CHAPULINES?

The word chapulín comes from Nahuatl and is one the base of Los Mexicas culture. The first place they arrived and where they settled for a time was the Cerro del Chapulín, this place that we now know as Chapultepec.

The ancient inhabitants of the Valley of Mexico loved Chapulines not only for their flavor, but also for their song and for considering them outstanding specimens of the animal world.

Chapulines are very agile, fast and therefore very difficult to catch. They have the ability to jump high to avoid obstacles. And they sing proudly to make sure that we know they are present.
